President's
Column Hello Ladies, Well, I guess it serves the Board right for trying to get inside your heads and see what you are thinking. Ask forty people – get forty answers (actually, we only got nine responses). In attempting to make our meetings convenient, accessible, and relevant, we sent out a survey. Here’s a short summary of the responses: Many people are fine with the date, time, and location. But other times were suggested as being more convenient – they included Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at lunchtime. Friday at 4PM was also proposed as a potential meeting time. While no one seems to dislike the location or convenience of the Mountain City Club, a few people did mention the relative high cost of lunch there. Short of the old I Love Show mentality where Lucy goes into the restaurant, orders a bowl of hot water, and then doctors it up with crackers, ketchup, and lemon juice – we’re having the least expensive lunches that they have available. (If you’re too young to remember that – bite me.) I certainly don’t like to feel that we are too pricey for anyone. I, personally, feel like we have had great programs that are interesting and varied. The survey results had several future program suggestions that I have forwarded on to our Meeting Manager, Mary Robertson. What I would REALLY, REALLY LOVE, is more feed back from those of you who have yet to respond. Most who have already responded are meeting regulars – and, relatively speaking, they’re pretty easy to figure out. It is those of you who can’t, or don’t, attend as regularly that we are trying to accommodate with date, time, or price adjustments. Your input is valuable to us. Have a productive day! Celeste Friend, CFP(r)
